My Morning Spent in Community: Supporting First Church of God and captured in the Winchester Sun

This morning was a heartwarming journey for me as I ventured out into our community with a purpose close to my heart. At HPJ, we believe in the power of giving back, and today was no exception. Our first stop was at the First Church of God, where we had the pleasure of supporting their upcoming ministry trip by purchasing some candy bars.

It's always such a joy to be able to contribute to the wonderful work being done by local organizations like the First Church of God. Their dedication to serving others and spreading love within our community is truly inspiring, and we are honored to play a small part in their mission.

We chatted with Jonathan Reed, Youth Pastor at First Church of God, and youth ministry members and learned more about their plans for the ministry trip in July. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride knowing that HPJ was able to support such a meaningful cause and help these youth on their personal ministry journey.

Whether it's through financial contributions or lending a helping hand, being able to make a positive impact in the lives of others is what drives Her Prayer Journal.

But the morning held another surprise for us – as we made our rounds, I was delighted to discover that we were listed as attending the Christian Women Authors of Winchester's monthly meeting in the Winchester Sun. Seeing myself in their photos was truly humbling. HPJ has grown from an idea to a functioning nonprofit in only five years.

Today was a reminder of why I love what I do. It's not just about HPJ and accomplishing our goals – it's about lifting others up and supporting our community partners goals as well. And I can't wait to see where our next adventure in community involvement takes us.
